Patrol Plus recognizes that working as a patrol officer, by its very nature, can sometimes be dangerous. Working unarmed is not always within the best interest of our personnel. Our staff often patrol in hazardous environments and are asked to curtail dangerous activity.  Because of this patrol officers must be equipped with a reasonable means to defend themselves.
 

We strive to minimize the use of force in the course of operations, and are always seeking alternative means of defense from the limited options of chemical weapons, impact weapons and firearms.  We have found that the M26 & X26 Law Enforcement Model Taser is a good non-lethal alternative. 

This innovative device is now being carried by law enforcement agencies across the globe.  With an effective range of up to 21-feet, the Advanced Taser deploys 50,000 volts via two air-powered projectiles. High voltage at low amperage is deployed, rendering aggressors (regardless of size or influences) incapacitated long enough for the officer to obtain control or obtain cover.

Patrol Plus has instructors certified through Taser International on staff.   Our patrol officers receive the same training as full time police officers on the use of tasers and complete refresher training on an annual basis.
